Terms of Service
Last updated: June 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of peopleinfluence.com and related services (the "Platform"), operated by PeopleInfluence ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
PeopleInfluence is a marketplace that connects brands and organizations ("Buyers") with verified people ("Earners" or "Creators") who complete marketing tasks and create authentic, disclosed content.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Platform.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You may hold both a Buyer and an Earner profile; certain features require completing the relevant profile.
2. The marketplace
Buyers create campaigns that define tasks, eligibility criteria, proof requirements, and rewards. Creators may choose to participate in campaigns they are eligible for and submit proof of completed work.
PeopleInfluence provides the technology and review tools but is not a party to the underlying relationship between a Buyer and a Creator beyond facilitating the campaign and reward flow described here.
3. Honest, disclosed participation (required)
Trust is the core of the Platform. You agree that:
- All endorsements, reviews, and promotional content must be honest and reflect genuine experience.
- Material connections must be clearly disclosed using #ad, #sponsored, or the platform's paid-partnership tools, consistent with FTC guidance.
- Creators are never required to say positive things; honest opinions are expected.
- Engagement and views must be organic unless a campaign explicitly permits paid boosting.
- No bots, purchased views or followers, engagement pods, fake comments, or other deceptive activity.
- The Platform may not be used to generate reviews for third-party public review sites (such as Google, Amazon, or Yelp-style reviews).
4. Rewards, credits, and payouts
- Buyer "Campaign Credits" are a prepaid, non-cashable budget used to fund campaigns. They are not a currency, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred between users.
- Earner payouts (shown as "Influence Points") represent approved, completed work and are a separate ledger from Campaign Credits.
- Payment is not guaranteed. Rewards are released only after a submission meets the campaign requirements and passes review.
- There is no user-to-user transfer of value, and earned balances cannot be converted into Campaign Credits.
- Payouts are processed through our payment provider and may require identity, tax, and bank verification before funds are released.
5. Connected accounts and verification
You may connect social media accounts to verify identity, eligibility, content ownership, and campaign performance. You authorize us to access, process, and store the connected-account data described in our Privacy Policy, including OAuth tokens and content metrics, for verification and campaign-review purposes.
When you connect a third-party platform such as TikTok, YouTube/Google, Instagram, Facebook, or X, you also agree to that platform's applicable developer, platform, and user terms. This includes the Google API Services User Data Policy, YouTube Terms of Service, TikTok Developer Terms and policies, Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies for Instagram and Facebook, and X Developer Agreement and policies where those services apply.
You confirm that you own or are authorized to connect the accounts, Pages, channels, or profiles you use with PeopleInfluence. You may submit only content you created or are authorized to use as campaign proof, and you authorize us to show that selected proof and related stats to the Buyer running the campaign, our administrators, and service providers who help operate the Platform.
You may disconnect a platform account at any time. Disconnecting or revoking platform access may prevent us from verifying new submissions or refreshing stats. Past proof records, review decisions, payout records, and compliance logs may remain available where needed to operate the marketplace, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with law.
6. Content and licenses
- You retain ownership of content you create. Brands are not required to repost or license content they do not want to use.
- You grant PeopleInfluence a limited license to store, display, and process your submissions and proof as needed to operate the Platform and verification features.
- You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe others' rights or violate any law or platform policy.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by engaging in fraud, fake or undisclosed endorsements, automated or purchased engagement, harassment, brigading, deceptive persuasion, unsupported medical or financial claims, or any unlawful activity. We may review, reject, suspend, or remove campaigns, submissions, or accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Reviews and decisions
Submissions may be reviewed by automated systems and human reviewers. We may approve, reject, or escalate submissions, and adjust ledgers, in our reasonable discretion to maintain trust, safety, and compliance. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee campaign results, earnings, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PeopleInfluence will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to us in the three months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PeopleInfluence from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Platform and its users. Certain provisions, including payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, survive termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which PeopleInfluence is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions can be sent to legal@peopleinfluence.com.
These Terms are provided in good faith to describe the current operation of the Platform and are not legal advice. PeopleInfluence intends to have these Terms reviewed by qualified counsel before broad public launch, and they may be updated as the product and applicable laws evolve.
